Anti-TEX55 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis expressed 55. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 536 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. Synonyms for this target antigen include Testis-specific conserved, cAMP-dependent type II PK anchoring protein, uncharacterized protein C3orf30, and testis-specific expressed protein 55. TEX55 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
