Anti-HOATZ antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein HOATZ cilia and flagella associated protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 169 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the HOATZ protein family, hoatz is known to be required for motile ciliogenesis and flagellar genesis by mediating the maturation of the glycolytic enzyme ENO4.
