Anti-RBIS antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal biogenesis factor. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 100 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. Synonyms for this target antigen include ribosome biogenesis factor identified in screen and uncharacterized protein C8orf59. RBIS gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
