Anti-CFAP210 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 210. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 552 amino acid residues and a mass of 66.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the testis, nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. CFAP210 is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 173, protein CFAP210, and coiled-coil domain containing 173. CFAP210 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
