Anti-CFAP141 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 141. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 101 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. CFAP141 is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein CFAP141 and uncharacterized protein C1orf189. CFAP141 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
