Anti-pecanex 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PCNX3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2034 amino acid residues and a mass of 222 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the Pecanex protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include pecanex homolog 3, pecanex homolog protein 3, pecanex-like 3, and pecanex-like protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
