Anti-TPD52 like 2 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TPD52L2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 206 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.2 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 7 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the TPD52 protein family, it is known to be involved with carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the regulation of cell proliferation. Other names for this target antigen include TPD54, tumor protein D54, HCCR-binding protein 2, tumor protein D52 like 2, and D54. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
