In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 338 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the Eukaryotic RPA43 RNA polymerase subunit protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include DNA-directed RNA polymerase I subunit F, twist neighbor protein, and DNA-directed RNA polymerase I subunit RPA43. POLR1F gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
