The gene may also be known as proteasome (prosome, macropain) 26S subunit, non-ATPase, 2, P97, RPN1, S2, TRAP2, and 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 100.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
