Anti-TSBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis expressed basic protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 563 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. Synonyms for this target antigen include TSBP, testis specific basic protein, uncharacterized protein C6orf10, and C6orf10. TSBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
