PLAS1, or Phospholipase A2 group IIA, is a human gene encoded by PLA2G2A. It may also be known as: Phospholipase A2, membrane associated; GIIC sPLA2; Group IIA phospholipase A2; Non-pancreatic secretory phospholipase A2; NPS-PLA2; Phosphatidylcholine 2-acylhydrolase 2A; Phospholipase A2, membrane associated ; MOM1; PLA2B; PLA2S; phospholipase A2, group IIA (platelets, synovial fluid). The encoded protein is an enzyme with an amino acid length of 144 and a mass of 16.1 kDa. PLAS1 is a member of the Phospholipase A2 family. Homologs of this gene exist in other organisms, including: Mouse, Rat, Chicken.
