Anti-NMMHCA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NMMHCA is a known alias name of the protein myosin heavy chain 9, encoded by the MYH9 gene in humans. This 1960-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for NMMHCA include BDPLT6, DFNA17, and EPSTS. Some NMMHCA antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
