Anti-HSD11B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HSD11B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HSD11B1 gene, which encodes hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 1. This protein is known to function in lung development, among other biological roles. The human version of HSD11B has a canonical amino acid length of 292 residues and a protein mass of 32.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in the kidney and liver. Other names for this target antigen include 11-DH, 11-beta-HSD1, and CORTRD2. Western Blot is the most common application for the HSD11B antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
