Anti-MDP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein magnesium dependent phosphatase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 176 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.1 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the HAD-like hydrolase protein superfamily, MDP1 is reported to be a magnesium-dependent phosphatase, which may act as a tyrosine phosphatase. Synonyms for this target antigen include fructosamine-6-phosphatase. MDP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, zebrafish species. Western Blot is the most common application for the MDP1 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
