Anti-gammaCOP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target gammaCOP is a known alias name of the protein COPI coat complex subunit gamma 1, encoded by the COPG1 gene in humans. This 874-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in Golgi transport and intracellular protein transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
