Anti-JBP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the JBP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRMT5 gene, which encodes protein arginine methyltransferase 5. This protein is known to function in chromatin organization and the regulation of cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of JBP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 637 residues and a protein mass of 72.7 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, Golgi, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HRMT1L5, HSL7, and IBP72. Western Blot is the most common application for the JBP1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
