Anti-POGLUT3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein O-glucosyltransferase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 507 amino acid residues and a mass of 58.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the endometrium and liver. A member of the KDELC protein family, POGLUT3 is reported to be a protein glucosyltransferase that catalyzes the transfer of glucose from UDP-glucose to a serine residue within the consensus sequence peptide C-X-N-T-X-G-S-F-X-C. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include KDEL motif containing 2, KDEL motif-containing protein 2, protein O-xylosyltransferase POGLUT3, and KDEL (Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu) containing 2. POGLUT3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
