Anti-PLAAT3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phospholipase A and acyltransferase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 162 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the H-rev107 protein family, PLAAT3 is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids and lens fiber cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include H-REV107, H-REV107-1, HRASLS3, HREV107, HREV107-1, HREV107-3, HRSL3, and AdPLA. PLAAT3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species.
