Anti-H2AC4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein H2A clustered histone 4. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. Synonyms for this target antigen include H2AC8, H2AFM, HIST1H2AB, histone H2A type 1-B/E, H2A histone family, member M, and H2A/m. H2AC4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species.
