Anti-H1-0 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein H1.0 linker histone. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 194 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the Histone H1/H5 protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include H10, H1F0, H1FV, histone H1.0, H1 histone family member 0, H1.0, H1(0), H1-0, histone H1', and H1.0. H1-0 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
