Anti-RPS8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein S8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 208 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eS8 protein family, RPS8 is a known component of the small ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include eS8, 40S ribosomal protein S8, OK/SW-cl.83, small ribosomal subunit protein eS8, and S8. RPS8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPS8 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
