Anti-ZDHHC16 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase 16. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 377 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the DHHC palmitoyltransferase protein family, ZDHHC16 is reported to be a palmitoyl acyltransferase that mediates palmitoylation of proteins such as PLN and ZDHHC6. Synonyms for this target antigen include Abl-philin 2, probable palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC16, zinc finger DHHC domain-containing protein 16, zinc finger DHHC-type containing 16, and palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC16. ZDHHC16 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These ZDHHC16 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
