Anti-RPL10L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein L10 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 214 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to have almost testis-specific expression. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL16 protein family, RPL10L is reported to be a testis-specific component of the ribosome, which is required for the transition from prophase to metaphase in male meiosis I (By similarity). The RPL10L gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. Synonyms for this target antigen include 60S ribosomal protein L10-like and large ribosomal subunit protein uL16-like. RPL10L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the RPL10L antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
