Anti-MATN2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein matrilin 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 956 amino acid residues and a mass of 106.8 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. MATN2 is known to be involved in matrix assembly. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include testis tissue sperm-binding protein Li 94mP. MATN2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MATN2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
