Anti-KIF6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kinesin family member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 814 amino acid residues and a mass of 92.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the nasopharynx, hippocampus, fallopian tube, caudate, and bronchus. It is a member of the Kinesin protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include kinesin-like protein KIF6. KIF6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some KIF6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
