Anti-C-type lectin domain family 4 member C antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CLEC4C in humans. The gene may also be known as BDCA2, CD303, BDCA-2, CLECSF11, and C-type (calcium dependent, carbohydrate-recognition domain) lectin, superfamily member 11. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 25 kilodaltons in mass. The CLEC4C marker can be used to identify Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells.* Based on gene name, monkey orthologs may also be found.
