Anti-C2orf47 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target C2orf47 is a known alias name of the protein ERGIC and golgi 3, encoded by the ERGIC3 gene in humans. This 383-amino acid residue protein is suspected to have a role in transport between endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi. It is localized to the ER and Golgi of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for C2orf47 include C20orf47 and CGI-54.
