Anti-CALHM4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calcium homeostasis modulator family member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 314 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CALHM protein family, CALHM4 is reported to be a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated ion channel. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 26 member D, protein FAM26D, and calcium homeostasis modulator protein 4. CALHM4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
