Anti-PABPC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein poly(A) binding protein cytoplasmic 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 631 amino acid residues and a mass of 70 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the Polyadenylate-binding protein type-1 protein family, PABPC3 is known to bind the poly(A) tail of mRNA. Synonyms for this target antigen include PABPL3, tPABP, polyadenylate-binding protein 3, PABP-3, poly(A)-binding protein 3, and PABP3. PABPC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some PABPC3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
