Anti-GLE1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GLE1 RNA export mediator. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 698 amino acid residues and a mass of 79.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the GLE1 protein family, GLE1 is known to be required for the export of mRNAs containing poly(A) tails from the nucleus into the cytoplasm. Synonyms for this target antigen include CAAHD, GLE1L, LCCS, LCCS1, hGLE1, mRNA export factor GLE1, GLE1 RNA export mediator homolog, and CAAHC.
