Anti-ARHGAP5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rho GTPase activating protein 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1502 amino acid residues and a mass of 172.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in skin fibroblasts. ARHGAP5 is a GTPase-activating protein for Rho family members. Synonyms for this target antigen include RhoGAP5, p190-B, p190BRhoGAP, growth factor independent 2, p100 RasGAP-associated p105 protein, and GFI2. ARHGAP5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ARHGAP5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
