Anti-ADAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ADAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FYB1 gene, which encodes FYN binding protein 1. This protein is known to function in immune response pathways and protein localization to the plasma membrane, among other biological roles. The human version of ADAP has a canonical amino acid length of 783 residues and a protein mass of 85.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, thymus, lymph node, kidney, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include FYB and PRO0823. Western Blot is the most common application for the ADAP antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
