Anti-IQGAP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1575 amino acid residues and a mass of 180.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. IQGAP2 is known to bind to activated CDC42 and RAC1 but does not seem to stimulate their GTPase activity. The IQGAP2 marker can be used to identify Gray Matter MGE Interneurons and Gray Matter CGE Interneurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP2. IQGAP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of IQGAP2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
