Anti-CTBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C-terminal binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 440 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in germinal center B-cells. A member of the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase protein family, CTBP1 is known to be involved with the regulation of cell proliferation and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include HADDTS, brefeldin A-ribosylated substrate, and BARS. CTBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CTBP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
