Anti-Sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 6 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SIGLEC6 in humans. The gene may also be known as CD327, CD33L, CD33L1, CD33L2, CD33 antigen-like 1, and obesity-binding protein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 49.9 kilodaltons in mass. The SIGLEC6 marker can be used to identify Transitional Dendritic Cells (TDC).* Based on gene name, monkey orthologs may also be found.
