Anti-GFOD2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Gfo/Idh/MocA-like oxidoreductase domain containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 385 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Gfo/Idh/MocA protein family, GFOD2 is reported to promote matrix assembly. Synonyms for this target antigen include glucose-fructose oxidoreductase domain containing 2, and glucose-fructose oxidoreductase domain-containing protein 2. GFOD2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the GFOD2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
