Anti-DMAC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein distal membrane arm assembly component 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 116 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. DMAC1 is known to be required for the assembly of the mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I). Synonyms for this target antigen include distal membrane arm assembly complex 1, transmembrane protein 261, transmembrane protein C9orf123, and distal membrane-arm assembly complex protein 1. DMAC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. These DMAC1 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
