Anti-DMAC2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein distal membrane arm assembly component 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 257 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the ATP synthase subunit s protein family, DMAC2 is known to be required for the assembly of the mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase complex (complex I). Synonyms for this target antigen include distal membrane-arm assembly complex protein 2, ATP synthase subunit s-like protein, ATP5S like, distal membrane arm assembly complex 2, and ATP5SL. DMAC2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. These DMAC2 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
