Anti-CFAP97D1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CFAP97 domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 164 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.5 kDa. It is found to be preferentially expressed in the testis. A member of the CFAP97 protein family, CFAP97D1 is known to be required for male fertility through its role in axonemal doublet stabilization which is essential for sperm motility and fertilization. Synonyms for this target antigen include CFAP97 domain-containing protein 1, uncharacterized protein C17orf105, and sperm axonemal maintenance protein CFAP97D1. CFAP97D1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the CFAP97D1 antibodies listed below.
