Anti-CFAP299 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 299. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 233 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the fallopian tube and testis. CFAP299 is suspected to be involved in spermatogenesis. The CFAP299 marker can be used to identify Hypothalamus Mammillary Body Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include uncharacterized protein C4orf22. CFAP299 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the CFAP299 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
