Anti-HDGFL2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein HDGF like 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 671 amino acid residues and a mass of 74.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the HDGF protein family, HDGFL2 is known to act as a epigenetic regulator of myogenesis in cooperation with DPF3a (isoform 2 of DPF3/BAF45C). Synonyms for this target antigen include hepatoma-derived growth factor-related protein 2 and HDGF-related protein 2. HDGFL2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of HDGFL2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
