Anti-GTPBP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GTP binding protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 602 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.8 kDa. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the thymus, spleen, and testis. It is a member of the Classic translation factor GTPase protein family. The GTPBP2 gene has been associated with the disease, Jaberi-Elahi syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include JABELS. GTPBP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GTPBP2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
