Anti-PVRL3 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PVRL3 antigen is another term for the human protein nectin cell adhesion molecule 3, encoded by the NECTIN3 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in cell-cell adhesion through heterophilic trans-interactions with nectin-like proteins or nectins, such as trans-interaction with NECTIN2 at Sertoli-spermatid junctions. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 549 residues and a mass of 61 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be highly expressed in the testis and placenta as well as in many cell lines, including epithelial cell lines. The PVRL3 protein is a member of the Nectin protein family. Other alias names for PVRL3 include CD113, CDW113, and PPR3.
