Anti-PSMD12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 456 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.9 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the Proteasome subunit p55 protein family, PSMD12 is a known component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include STISS, p55, 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 12, 26S proteasome regulatory subunit RPN5, 26S proteasome regulatory subunit p55, and Rpn5.
