Anti-FKBP38 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FKBP38 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FKBP8 gene, which encodes FKBP prolyl isomerase 8. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and eye development, among other biological roles. The human version of FKBP38 has a canonical amino acid length of 412 residues and a protein mass of 44.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include FKBPr38 and peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP8. Western Blot is the most common application for the FKBP38 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
