Anti-ULK4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein unc-51 like kinase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1275 amino acid residues and a mass of 142.4 kDa. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, mainly in postmitotic neurons, including GABAergic neurons, but not in astrocytes. A member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, ULK4 is suspected to be involved in the remodeling of cytoskeletal components, such as alpha-tubulin, and in this way regulates neurite branching and elongation, as well as cell motility. Synonyms for this target antigen include REC01035, serine/threonine-protein kinase ULK4, and FAM7C1. ULK4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ULK4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
