Anti-Acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACAT2 in humans. The gene may also be known as acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, cytosolic, and acetoacetyl Coenzyme A thiolase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 41.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
