Anti-TRAcP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TRAcP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ACP5 gene, which encodes acid phosphatase 5, tartrate resistant. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of TRAcP has a canonical amino acid length of 325 residues and a protein mass of 36.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes of cells and notably expressed in the lung. Other names for this target antigen include HPAP, TRACP5a, and TRACP5b. Some TRAcP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
