Anti-WDT2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the WDT2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MREG gene, which encodes melanoregulin. This protein is known to function in melanocyte differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of WDT2 has a canonical amino acid length of 214 residues and a protein mass of 24.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and cell membrane of cells. WDT2 is a member of the Melanoregulin protein family.
