Anti-IEGF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target IEGF is a known alias name of the protein platelet derived growth factor D, encoded by the PDGFD gene in humans. This 370-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. The protein is secreted and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed at high levels in the heart, pancreas, adrenal gland and ovary and at low levels in the placenta, liver, kidney, prostate, testis, small intestine, spleen and colon. Indicated applications for IEGF antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
